FAQ

The Clinic at Gibbs Pharmacy is the first of its kind in Wilson County, so we understand you may not be familiar with a pharmacy-run clinic. Learn about what makes our clinic different.

What services do you provide?

The Clinic at Gibbs Pharmacy offers a variety of services including immunizations, rapid testing, injection administration, nutrition and weight loss coaching, and more. Find a full list of our services here

2

Can you bill my insurance?

We are able to bill some commercial and TennCare insurance plans. Unfortunately, we are not able to legally bill Medicare Part B for any service other than COVID-19, flu, and pneumonia vaccines. Please call us at

615-657-5400 to further discuss insurance coverage.

3

I don't have insurance. Can I pay out of pocket?

Absolutely! We have significantly lower out of pocket prices than our competitors. You can find a list of our services and their cash price here

4

How can a pharmacist provide these services?

Pharmacists can prescribe and treat patients under a Collaborative Practice Agreement (CPA), a formalized agreement between a pharmacist and a physician. This allows pharmacists to manage certain aspects of patient care in collaboration with other providers. It also limits pharmacists to practicing within the terms agreed upon between the pharmacist and physician.

5

Are you the same as an urgent care clinic?

We differ from a typical urgent care clinic because we are staffed fully by pharmacy personnel. We do not have any physicians, nurse practitioners, or physicians assistants on staff at The Clinic, which limits the services we can provide. Our goal is to expand community pharmacy to serve the Lebanon community, and we are doing so by bringing convenient, quality care to our patients.

6

Why does it say I may not qualify for treatment?

As mentioned above, our pharmacists are able to treat patients based on agreed upon terms with a physician. These terms typically exclude our pharmacists from treating patients who are at risk for serious complications. Due to their increased risk, these patients should be seen by a physician instead. While it may seem inconvenient, this is done to make sure patients are seeing the appropriate provider to ensure they get the best care possible.
